How it works
How does Zone Scribe work?+
Zone Scribe captures recordings, voice notes and documents from your day. It uses secure AI to turn them into structured summaries, reports and action lists you can trust, all stored in one private workspace.
Does Zone Scribe identify different speakers?+
Yes. We diarise conversations so you can see who said what across meetings, appointments and lectures.
What file types can I upload?+
PDF, DOCX, images of letters (JPG / PNG / HEIC), MP3, M4A, WAV and most common formats. We're adding more all the time.
Can I edit a transcript after it's generated?+
Yes, every transcript is fully editable. Corrections are saved alongside the original and used to improve accuracy for you in the future (never for training models).
How accurate is the transcription?+
Independent benchmarks place Zone Scribe within 1–2% of leading transcription services on clear audio, with strong performance on UK accents, medical terminology and lecture recordings.
Is Zone Scribe recognised as a Class One Medical Device?+
Zone Scribe is registered as a Class One medical device for our healthcare features. We're also NHS DTAC compliant (assured by Acorn) and comply with the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
Privacy & security
Is my data private and secure?+
Yes, we're GDPR-aligned, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified, Cyber Essentials Plus and NHS DTAC compliant. Your data is never used to train AI models, by us or anyone else.
Where is my data stored?+
In secure UK and EU data centres operated by trusted hyperscale providers. We never transfer your data outside these regions for processing.
Do you encrypt data at rest?+
Yes, your data is encrypted at rest as well as in transit
Can I delete my data?+
At any time, from inside the app, individual items or your whole account. Deletion is immediate and we honour GDPR's right to erasure across our backups.
Plans & pricing
Is there a free plan available?+
Yes. The Free plan is free forever, with no card required. It has a lower monthly usage allowance, and Basic, Plus and Pro are separate paid plans you can move up to whenever you like.
What's included in the Free plan?+
Everyday recording, transcription and Ask AI, with a lower monthly usage allowance and 100 MB of secure storage. Paid plans add more usage, more storage and higher-accuracy transcription.
